As another week passes by, our weekly podcast returns to provide an episode filled with gaming news, thoughts on recent releases and other goings on in popular culture. TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 27 features discussion about many things including Final Fantasy VII Remake and some of the weirdest conspiracies our team have heard about. There’s also a clever quiz to partake in too, celebrating International Haiku Poetry Day.
The team of Gareth, James and Richard kick things off with what they’ve been up to during the last seven days of life during the continuation of lockdown. Their answers range from indulging in Netflix show Tiger King to devising their own backyard activities in order to keep entertained. Eventually the host, Gareth, opens up a can of worms about conspiracies via a series of questions while simultaneously attempting to uncover the fears of his fellow members.
Talk then turns to the games being played this week, with Richard waxing lyrical about both Man of Medan and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Meanwhile, Gareth has been giving his mind a workout thanks to Obduction, a new game from developers Cyan Worlds – the folks behind the classic Myst. James decided to take it easy by spending time in the relaxing hidden object puzzle adventure Uncharted Tides: Port Royal. In terms of news, there’s delight over the incoming additions to Xbox Game Pass, intrigue at the Little Hope trailer, and astonishment about the bizarre failed launch of Cooking Mama: Cookstar.

Once more, the weekly instalment of our podcast is here, covering all sorts from the world of gaming and anything else that’s eye-catching. TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 26 delves into the latest news emerging from the Inside Xbox show as well as the recently revealed PS5 DualSense controller. As always, there are recommendations about some of the newest games on the market, including any which should be avoided.
Join Gareth, James and Bentley as they attempt to digest the key moments of Inside Xbox and share their thoughts on the highlights – and lowlights. This sees a wide range of topics discussed, such as Obsidian’s upcoming co-op survival game Grounded, the Batista freebie in Gears 5, the lovely The Last Campfire from Hello Games, and Journey to the Savage Planet hitting Xbox Game Pass. Obviously, the Xbox Series X got a mention in regards to ray tracing and the Seagate memory expansion. In other news, there is also a mixture of praise and criticism for the PS5 DualSense controller.
The team have been playing games on multiple platforms this week, with Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PSVR getting a look in. The rhythmic Beat Saber has been an exercise tool, while the fast-paced twin-stick shooter HyperParasite has proven to be a real challenge. In stark contrast to those two experiences, one person seems to be grafting hard in Construction Simulator 3 and another is driving a bus erratically in Snakeybus. Tune in to find out what else has been played recently!

The usual suspects return as the host, Gareth, and regular James have the pleasure of welcoming back quizmaster extraordinaire, Richard. Talk soon turns to adapting to life during lockdown, especially when it comes to shopping, but they also share their thoughts on the latest games to be delayed by coronavirus, which are The Last of Us Part II and Iron Man VR. It’s not all gloomy though, as there’s a bit of hype for the recent release of a teaser trailer for an upcoming film titled Peninsula (the Train to Busan sequel).
Given the lack of games to look forward to, the team tell us what games they’re currently playing to pass the time: Gareth’s embracing one of his favourite genres with the new FMV from Wales Interactive, The Complex; anime addict James is fighting off the masses in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4; and Richard is chilling out with Animal Crossing, while ‘flipping the bird’ to everyone in side-scrolling shooter Freedom Finger.
Last, but not least, is a very unusual quiz conjured up by Richard. With James currently possessing bragging rights after the previous quiz, can his winning run continue? There’s only one way to find out!

In these times of uncertainty, there’s one thing you can rely on and that’s the arrival of TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 23. Whilst the coronavirus is still having a major affect on global events, the detailed specs of both the Xbox Series X and the PS5 gave the team something else to sink their teeth into.
This week, Gareth (the host) and James are joined by another James – to be known as Bentley to avoid confusion – to try and break down the incredibly in-depth presentation by Mark Cerny regarding PlayStation 5. Alongside that, there are even more details to discuss about the Xbox Series X, including its size and the prospect of using memory cards. After contemplating the specs, pondering begins as to which sounds the most appealing right now and whether they’ll release as planned – or not.
As for what games they’ve been playing, well, there’s the anime fighting antics courtesy of One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows and a puzzling exercise in the form of Hidden Through Time. That’s not all though, with side-scrolling adventure Inops, platformer Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition and a fair few other games getting a worthy mention too. And whilst there’s very minimal news about new games on the horizon, The Vale: Shadow of the Crown caught the attention of James for its remarkable audio-only focus.

And then with the likelihood that numerous gamers are going to have to stay indoors for the near future, what games are fast coming out that we're looking forward to. Is there anything to worry about other than DOOM Eternal?
