It’s time for another instalment of our weekly podcast, with Gareth, James and Richard in place to chat about all things gaming, as well as anything else catching their interest. In terms of games, there’s the lowdown on the Mass Effect Legendary Edition remastered compilation, the latest DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Wardrobe: Even Better Edition, Disaster Report 4, and Bunny Factory. And then they turn to the news, which features the upcoming Xbox Game Pass additions, the reformation of the team behind TimeSplitters, and the changes Xbox are making as part of Global Accessibility Awareness Day.
To close out the episode, Gareth puts James and Richard in the spotlight for another Metacritic inspired quiz. Can Richard end the hot streak that James is currently on, or will the champion’s reign continue?

Can you believe that it’s already been six months since the Xbox Series X was released into the wild? Well, that’s just one of the subjects on the agenda for TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 80, with our team sharing their thoughts so far. There’s also chatter about Resident Evil Village, Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Pokemon Snap, and much, much more within this episode. All you need to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy our latest musings.
This week, host Gareth is joined by Richard and William, who begin by letting us know what they’ve done in the last week or so. Things quickly move on to gaming though, with the trio giving their verdicts on the scary Resident Evil Village, the survival experience of Subnautica: Below Zero, the multiplayer action of Hood: Outlaws & Legends, and the photo-centric Pokemon Snap. There’s also talk about Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Dishonored 2, and Flowing Lights.
In regards to what news has caught our attention, there’s plenty to delve into, such as what projects The Coalition are working on, when we’ll eventually set sail in Skull & Bones, and what to expect from the upcoming EA Play showcase. Other notable bits of news include Dungeons and Dragons coming to Xbox Game Pass, the impending Battlefield 6 reveal, and the amount of games currently in development at PlayStation Studios.
The final segment gives Gareth, Richard and William the chance to discuss the Xbox Series X. Now that the honeymoon phase is over, what do they really think about the latest console and the power it possesses? You’ll have to tune in to find out whether there’s praise or criticism heading its way.

It’s time for TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 79, our weekly podcast that’s full of absolutely everything, but mostly gaming. In this episode, Returnal is just one of a handful of tough games on the agenda, alongside Super Meat Boy Forever and Pato Box. Meanwhile, the divisive Line of Duty finale is one of many talking points from the world of TV and film. Make sure you listen for the lowdown on all of that, and more!
Lend your ears to the sounds of Gareth, James and Darren, who begin by delving into the hot topics outside of gaming. It’s all been happening during ‘Golden Week’, with Invincible and Line of Duty reaching their season finales - albeit with a mixed response. Excitement is building for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while one of the team is extra happy having recently picked up a fancy new piece of tech.
As for what games they’ve been playing lately, the trio have really got stuck into some pretty hardcore experiences. Expect to hear about the repeated deaths and failures, as well as the enticing aspects, of Returnal, Super Meat Boy Forever and Pato Box. Other games discussed include the renovation focused Tools Up!, the newest FMV in the form of Dark Nights with Poe and Munro, and visual novel Cinders.
Despite being a slow news week in general, there are still items of interest such as the announcement for the free-to-play The Division: Heartland, the slew of games getting an FPS boost, and the Tribeca Games award nominees. And finally, there’s just enough time to talk about a dedicated Red Dead Online community putting a lot of effort into their role-playing antics.

Welcome to the latest instalment of our weekly podcast, featuring anything and everything from the world of gaming as well as various interesting topics outside of this realm. In TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 78, you’ll hear about a special film at the Oscars, what we think about EA’s FIFA Ultimate Team cash cow, and much more. Kicking off this week’s show are Gareth, James and Richard, with the latter launching straight into informing everyone about the Class Action Park documentary he’s been watching. James now has a collection of vinyl records and explains the premise of medical drama Rush, while Gareth spent the week indulging in Call My Agent on Netflix.
If you’re wanting to know the ins and outs of the latest games, as well as a few interesting older titles, then our trio has you covered. Whether it’s the Yakuza spinoff Judgment, Before I Forget delving into the perils of dementia, or the brawling of WarDogs: Red’s Return, something will grab your attention. The likes of Resident Evil 7, Moving Out, and the next-gen version of The Sinking City also get a mention.
And speaking of Resident Evil, thoughts are shared in relation to the Re:Verse delay, which comes as no surprise. Elsewhere in the world of news, Oscar-winning short film ‘Colette’ possess gaming ties, while EA appear to be putting all of their eggs in the FIFA Ultimate Team basket in order to squeeze more money out of players.
To close out the show, Richard hosts a quiz which pits Gareth against James to see who can remember which games a selection of memorable quotes are from. Have a listen and try to get more correct than our gaming ‘experts’.

It’s time for another instalment of our weekly podcast and we’ve got a real assortment of topics on the agenda. As always though, a selection of games will be discussed, including Godfall, AntVentor and Tank Brawl 2. The recent news leads us onto a returning racing franchise, while the future of a massively popular shooter is also pondered. Outside of gaming, the Mortal Kombat film gets a lot of attention and it’s mainly for the wrong reasons. So, be sure to tune in to TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 77!
The ever-present Gareth and James are joined this week by KEMCO connoisseur Paul, with all three initially having a chatter about things in general. The Mortal Kombat film reboot stirred up some excitement, but caused itself a real PR disaster in the UK too. Meanwhile, Gareth is looking forward to a summer of fun and Paul’s been seeing what life is like using a keyboard with an Xbox.
In regards to the games they’ve played over the past week, first up is the point and click adventures of a worker ant in AntVentor. And then prepare for the full lowdown on Tank Brawl 2: Armor Fury and how it’s anything but a blast. Even though gaming news is rather sparse, the new Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown trailer, the unveiling of Farming Simulator 22, and the promise of a Battlefield reveal soon, hit the team’s radar. And then all that’s left to do is gear up for another Metacritic inspired quiz, which sees the reigning champ James taking on a fresh contender in the form of Paul. We’re back with another bumper edition of our weekly podcast, armed with all sorts of news and plenty of unbiased opinions on the latest games for your listening pleasure. Taking centre stage is the most recent Nintendo Direct focusing on indie games, but there’s also chatter about the turmoil at PlayStation. Furthermore, you can expect to hear thoughts regarding Rain on Your Parade, Hitchhiker, Yakuza 0, and more. So please, enjoy our new episode!
With William making his long-awaited return to the podcast, Gareth and James want to find out what he’s been up to. Aside from mentioning his studies, there’s vaccine delight for him while Gareth has worries concerning a Covid variant lurking on his doorstep. As always, James manages to swerve the conversation towards wrestling and specifically WrestleMania, before filling everyone in about a film called When Jeff Tried to Save the World.
And then attention turns to the games played over the past week, which features a real varied selection. Here, you’ll be able to get an insight on Xbox Game Pass addition Rain on Your Parade, the strange narrative of Hitchhiker, and the hilarious point and click adventure The Darkside Detective. On top of that, there are fresh thoughts in relation to Yakuza 0 and Outriders.
The final segment is a fairly lengthy rundown of the standout offerings from the Nintendo Direct Indie World presentation. Amongst the games included are Oxenfree 2, Road 96, OlliOlli World, Last Stop, The Longing, plus lots of others. That’s not all though, with just enough time to delve deep into the turmoil at PlayStation.

With the Easter festivities done and dusted, TheXboxHub’s Gareth, James and Richard are ready for TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 75. Expect to hear about anything and everything related to gaming, with no console off-limits. The team set their sights on many games this week, including two of the biggest recent releases Outriders and It Takes Two as well as Last Oasis and Mundaun. We also cover a few news stories that stood out and there’s a Metacritic inspired quiz, so please enjoy our latest episode.
Our trio start proceedings with a bit of a catch up. You’ll find them discussing all sorts in this segment, such as the legacy of the Rocky character, a selection of truly awful movies they’ve seen over Easter, and the gruelling WrestleMania week schedule.
That’s followed by their unbiased opinions on a wide range of games, both old and new. There’s a lot of love for the co-op exploits of It Takes Two, the survival antics in Last Oasis, and the rather tense Mundaun. Unfortunately, Outriders is the cause of much frustration, Radon Blast is lacking in a few areas, and Cruz Brothers has a couple of issues. If that’s not quite enough, be sure to listen out for thoughts about Breathedge and Oddworld: Soulstorm too.
And then the attention switches to news from the world of gaming. You can look forward to hearing about the upcoming Xbox Games Pass additions, a teaser for a PS5 horror shooter titled Abandoned, the RE:Verse beta being pulled, and the official return of E3.
Before finishing up the episode, there’s the small matter of a Metacritic quiz. It’s a rematch between reigning champion James and the knowledgeable challenger Richard. Who will come out on top this time?

Amongst the topics covered are Octopath Traveler, the latest DLC for Doom Eternal, Genesis Noir, the animated TV series Invincible, and much more. On this week’s episode, podcast stalwarts Gareth and James welcome Darren back, with the latter getting the ball rolling by bringing up recent activities, which includes watching Line of Duty and relaxing with friends. Meanwhile, James has attended yet more online concerts and Gareth has been suitably intrigued by the animated adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s Invincible comic series.
If it’s the lowdown on new games and those which may have gone under the radar that you’re really after, then the trio offering insight into a decent range of titles may be helpful. Not only do they delve into the epic adventure of Octopath Traveler, but also the utterly abstract Genesis Noir, the space-based management sim Starbase Startopia, the innovative Lost Words: Beyond the Page, the concluding part for Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, and a handful of others.
Due to the massive influx of news prior to this week, it’s pretty sparse lately. Nevertheless, there’s discussion regarding April’s Games with Gold freebies and what PS Plus provides in comparison. Furthermore, CD Projekt RED’s future plans caught their attention as well as the release of a new content update for No Man’s Sky. And then to close out the episode, there’s another Metacritic inspired quiz which sees James going head to head with Darren for the first time.

It doesn’t matter if you’re more inclined towards Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo or PC, there’s going to be lots of interesting games to hear about in TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 73. So, sit back, relax and prepare to take it all in.
This week’s instalment sees Gareth and James joined by Paul, with no time wasted on having a quick catch-up. Instead, they launch almost immediately into coverage of the two major events. Up first is the collaborative indie showcase courtesy of Twitch Gaming and ID@Xbox, with thoughts shared regarding 15 of the most intriguing or memorable games. These range from Exomecha, Moonglow Bay and Nobody Saves the World, to Soup Pot, Last Oasis and Twelve Minutes.
Once the trio have gotten through the mammoth amount of content from that event, things move on to the Future Games Show. What an episode we have for you this week, with tons of gaming news to sift through after the Square Enix Presents and PlayStation Indies events. It’s even been an exciting week for Microsoft due to Xbox Game Pass reveals and the announcement of an upcoming Twitch Showcase. And that’s before we’ve touched upon the highly anticipated Snyder Cut of the Justice League. Rest assured, TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 72 is full to the brim, so make sure to give it a listen!
Settle down with Gareth, James and Richard as they begin with the hot topic that is Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Is it better than the original cut, or will it not be worth four hours of your precious time? James has the all-important answer. In addition, Richard got himself into a bit of trouble and rewarded himself with a PS5, while Gareth’s sim game exploits spill over into the real world.
Then prepare yourself for a barrage of information and insight regarding Square Enix Presents. There’s chatter about the newly unveiled Life is Strange: True Colors, what’s next for Marvel’s Avengers, and the latest hype for Outriders. Furthermore, as interest grows for Forspoken (previously Project Athia), it seems to be cooling off for Balan Wonderworld. In the aftermath of the PlayStation Indies event, the team were left impressed by VR jigsaw game Puzzling Places, the charming Chicory: A Colorful Tale, and the very quirky Heavenly Bodies.
There’s also praise for the recent addition and upcoming arrivals for Xbox Game Pass, including Undertale and the aforementioned Outriders. Undertale is one of the games that’s been played this week as well, alongside the online aspect of Watch Dogs Legion, Heaven Dust, Concrete Genie, Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse, and Roundguard.
